3. If you would like to back up photos to save storage space on your smartphone, go to Google Photo’s Free up space option. The software will delete any images stored from your device to free up space.

2.  Google will ask for your permission, before backing up your photos. You may choose to give the app access to all of your photos or just the ones you would like to back up.

3. If you choose the option, it will automatically back up your photos. A blue circle will appear around your profile picture in the top right corner of the app.

4. Open the Google Photos app. Click the menu→ settings→ backup and sync to turn off automatic synchronisation. You can disable syncing from there.

4. Tap the folders you want to backup using Google Photos. 

5. Choose your preferred photo and video uploading size; Original (15GB storage) or High-quality (limitless storage) and Select the ‘start’ option.
